From Sacred Births to Daily Rites, Davana May Shares the Power of Rituals in Honoring the Divine Feminine.

Davana May

The dream in your heart, may be a seed that was planted by one of your great grand ancestors. You are living, breathing, dancing, Prayer. Know thy roots. Goddess Rise.

Q: What is your purpose and how are you fulfilling that within the community?

My purpose is to support the awakening and remembrance of the Goddess on planet earth, through song, dance, plants, and birth. I am fulfilling that by working one on one and in groups with women, connecting to our wombs, our hearts, our voices, and innate power and beauty within. I support mothers and women who want to have undisturbed or freebirths, outside of the medical system, as well as in the sacred postpartum season.

Q: Please tell us about your offerings and the ways we can work with you.

I offer a 1:1 3 month Sacred Feminine Embodiment mentorship, as well as Wild Birth and Postpartum consultation.

Q: How did you get started on this path?

This path began for me in 2013 when I started to connect to my roots, my ancestors, and the beginning of my spiritual awakening. I completed my Wisdom of the Earth Aromatherapy certification, and the world of essential oils was fully opened up to me. It was in working with Davana Essential Oil (my birthname) that I ended an abusive relationship and began my self-love and healing journey. Realizing that emotional and physical abuse is an epidemic on this planet, I was determined to bring the women together to sit in circle, sing, share and remember our feminine power.

Q: Where do you see this work taking you in the future?

I see this work taking me all around the world, speaking and singing on stages in front of thousands, sharing my story, my voice, and my medicine. I want to open Goddess Birthing Temples where women can come to rest, bleed, birth, learn, and BE.

Q: What is your most potent daily ritual? Walk us through how we can try it ourselves.

Ayurvedic rituals ~ oil pulling, drinking water out of a copper cup, dry skin brushing, and the most magical Abyhanga warm oil massage. I also am in love with my ritual baths and herbal infusion making.

Q: If you could go back and tell your younger self one thing, what would you say?

Keep going, you are not alone, and you are not crazy. Believe in yourself...you are DIVINE.

Q:  What do you consider to be the most fulfilling aspect of the work you do?

That women remember the power and wisdom that was within them all along.

Q: Where do you spend your time and how can we connect to receive more information?

I spend a lot of my time at home or in the water in Austin, Texas with my 3 wild boys and beloved partner Aubert. You can connect with me on Instagram or my website.

Q: Leave us with one word that describes what you wish to give to the world through your work.
